Fabulous, family-friendly cookbook! The recipes are full of nutritious, whole foods that are very common in the kitchen. Not only are the recipes low on the Glycemic Index, but many of them are low sodium, low fat, and high in fiber. The author also provides tips on how to reduce sodium from canned goods. My favorite part of the book: easy prep! The recipes are so simple to prepare for and they taste gourmet delicious.

So glad to have this book in my kitchen. I appreciate recipes that stick to the basics - whole foods, minimal ingredients and easy prep. This cookbook ticks all the boxes. I have primarily been using my slow cooker to make broths based on their recipes, so easy and fool proof. They cover everything from meat dishes to dessert! I especially appreciate that this book can also be used as a reference regarding the glycemic index of foods - hence the title - they did a great job in providing an explanation of the glycemic index, blood sugar and a section regarding nutrition. Great to give as a gift to anyone looking to have this information all in one place with recipes to boot!
