This book does a Great Job of taking you step by step through all the types of calculations you will see on the PTCE. I don't think I would have done well on the National Exam without having gone through this book to get a refresher on Pharmacy Math first. It is simple and straight forward and targets just what you need to prepare for any Pharmacy Calculations exam.

My college pharmacy math text is thin, and I felt it does not have enough practice problems for me to pass the national certification exam in October this year. I found high review marks (stars) attached to this text, so I bought it. I just started chapter 1 while on my last week of school break before my pharmacy math course begins, and already I am challenged yet am not intimidated. The author's approach is light yet educational. Any student will find this text easy to follow and wanting more to learn :)
I had viewed an earlier post on the same college math book I received from my school. That review was reporting errors in the book. I found an error in the first chapter in the example section and only caught that error because of my purchase of this book I purchased through Amazon.com. There are many more practice exercises in the Amazon book compared to the college book, so this is a great buy for me. I also supplemented my purchase with the Quick Study Pharmacy Math (laminated cheat sheet) for quick reviews.
UPDATE November 26, 2012: I graduated with honors from my college program and passed my PTCE on the first try. This book was instrumental in my math refresher in pharmacy and I recommend it to any allied health student on the fence about supplementing their college math book with this one. I actually enjoyed working the problems and was entertained with the author's humor.
