Issue 84 is the all sports issue featuring Ken Kelly's fantastic cover of a robot pitcher throwing a hand grenade right at you! Issue 85 is the all monster issue. The grossest story in the entire archive is found in this issue and it was written by Bill DuBay and it's titled "Orem Ain't Got No Head Cheese." Issue 86 is the Christmas issue. Read Joe Brancatelli's article in this issue about less being more. His column provides good insight into why the comic industry was dying off during that time period. There are no full color stories in the entire archive but there are two, half colored stories to be found. Issue 87 is the planet Mars issue while issue 88 returns Creepy back to its usual format. Getty Boudreau's magical children's story "Do You Believe in Singsigs" has some true elements in it. In this story, Pawtucket, Rhode Island is real. Slater Park is real. The duck pond and carousel are real. The main character is named Kip. Kip's is a local restaurant that is 2 miles from Slater Park and has been around for a long time. I was surprised to see my home town represented in a 1977 story. My vote for best story in the entire archive is the final selection titled "Second Childhood." This story was written by Bruce Jones and Ramon Torrents did the artwork. To see a masochist meet his match makes for a great story and a great way to end the book. I deducted one star on the rating because with the theme issues, there is a lack of strong storytelling. It's like everyone wanted to follow the theme of the issue but the stories lacked great punch. I hold Warren to a higher standard and for many, this may be a good read.

This is definitely a great book and my favorite in the series so far. I'm glad I picked it up. Must own!
